The coffees in this selection are defined by the place they come from. Traditionally this has meant the country of origin. But with these coffees we have narrowed it down to the specific coffee growing region in each country, and then further, to the specific farm or group of farms that make up a small cooperative. These coffees are produced by people who approach coffee cultivation as an honorable and exacting craft; their harvests are unique reflections of place, terroir as the wine aficionados call it. Nuanced flavors mirror the soil, climate, and farmers’ care — the resulting coffees are truly among the world’s best. Each has its unique story which we are honored to bring to you.
