Smoky Ugandan coffee, with notes of chocolate and sweet
Dark roasted, Mirembe has assertive fudgy chocolate notes,
toasty hints of caramelized pecan, and a lightly smokey, brown
sugar sweetness in the finish.
In 2003, JJ Keki, a Ugandan coffee farmer, walked door-to-door
asking his Muslim, Christian, and Jewish neighbors to put aside old
differences, confront their challenges together, and find a better
price for their coffee. His neighbors agreed, and together, they
formed the Peace Kawomera Cooperative. Theirs is the story of a
community who risked everything—their farms and their
livelihoods—to build a more prosperous future, and peace.
The 1,032 farmers of the Peace Kawomera Cooperative produce
beautiful Arabica Ugandan coffee on the slopes of Mt. Elgon, in

My only coffee
From JB Leibovitch of Oakland, California on 3/11/2014.
I was experimenting with my own blend of Pete's coffees, then I discovered Delicious Peace. Not only is it delicious and now familiar to my mornings, but it support a wonderful co-op. Come for the back story, stay for the rich/smooth coffee that is dark enough but not too oily.
So smooth and rich
From Anonymous of New York, New York on 10/24/2013.
First bought this coffee because of the compelling back story. Have continued to buy it because it is a wonderful sweet, smooth, rich coffee. I have stopped experimenting, this is the only coffee I am drinking.
I hate coffee, but I loved this!
From Jonathan Penley of Irvine, California on 12/20/2011.
I had JJ Keki come speak at our college about the coffee co-op and screen their film. We also sampled the coffee. I really hate the smell and taste of coffee, but I tasted this coffee straight and loved it. I highly recommend it as a tri-holiday gift or for yourself!
Best Coffee I have ever had
From Devin of Scottsdale, Arizona on 8/25/2011.
Friends who try the turkish coffee I make with this always exclaim how good it is. The coffee is so rich it almost tastes like chocolate and requires less sugar than usual coffee. Since first trying this coffee a few years ago I have purchased no other.
