Lovely
From JB of SAN FRANCISCO, California on .
If I had to pick a single origin that had a little bit of earth, spice, floral aroma, and acidity, then it must be Colombian. Boring, yes but there is a reason they patented Juan Valdez back in the day. Colombian has a very broad flavor profile that can please everyone depending on roast level. At a medium dark level like the SongBird cause blend, it comes out tops in versatility, especially for cream and sugar drinkers. Drunk straight, it has a touch of smoke but is certainly not overdone like Peet's or Sbux. Probably the most versatile and flavorful of the Thanksgiving Coffees I have tried, and is essentially a daily drinker.
Warm and Full Flavor

I have long been a starbucks bean coffee buyer, but based on the value of shade-grown coffee supporting our flying feather freinds I tried two Thanksgiving "Songbird Roasts". This was the milder of the two, but found both the French and the Columbian to be full bodied and and smooth. This columbian has a full firm and smooth flavor - so much so that I enjoyed over my typically darker roasts. This is a new favorite - so much so that I may now be a 'medium-roast guy' from here forward. And, no more starbucks for me!
great coffee!

This is another great coffee that is bird friendly offered by TGC. I use this dark roast in our expresso machine and I'm very happy with the smooth taste and the dark flavor with no bitterness.
Thank you TGC for offering your coffees for a cause!
Very Good!

Really good coffee. I like the taste very much. Not too heavy, but strong enough.
What I love is that each purchase benefits the planet. Most common coffee companies care nothing about anything other than profit. They destroy the Rainforests.
Our favoritte

The Colombian is our favorite-rich and deep, but without a trace of bitterness from over-roasting that so many dark coffees have. We love this coffee straight, but also love mixing it with other Thanksgiving coffees...
Very good coffee

After reading about bird friendly coffee, we decided to get some. There are several options out there and I’m glad we chose this coffee with this company. We ordered 5 pounds of beans. They arrived in three days. Very fresh. Very delicious coffee. Not much more expensive than what we were drinking before and we are trying to spread the word!

It’s so rewarding to drink a wonderful coffee (bean) and know you’re helping save trees for the wintering song birds!
